MSF X VIO X STUDIO MAJÈRE EDITORIAL

UNZUCHT: fornication; adultery; lewdness; promiscuity (any sexual behaviour considered immoral or forbidden)
The painting presents a vivid narrative in three panels: 1. Left Panel: The Garden of Eden, the creation of Adam and Eve. 2. Center Panel: Showcasing a world where humans indulge in various pleasures, often interpreted as a warning against the sins of excess and hedonism. 3. Right Panel: Hell, illustrating a chaotic and nightmarish scene of punishment and torment for sinners, filled with bizarre and grotesque imagery. Overall, the triptych explores themes of creation, human sin, and divine judgment.
Studio MAJÈRE's collection draws inspiration from Hieronymus Bosch's triptych "The Garden of Earthly Delights."

The dress, shoes and bag used in the shoot are from three different looks of studio MAJÈRE's recent “UNZUCHT” SS25 collection.

For our first editorial in the new studio space, we collaborated with Vio (talent) and Lisa Wild (photographer).

Besides being an incredible model and a kind person, Vio is also a sick nail artist. As soon as the initial idea for the shoot appeared, she immediately came to mind. It was a creative collaboration from beginning to end, with the shoot taking place in Mitte on a Monday. Wild, right?

Studio MAJERE, a Berlin-based slow fashion brand, was kind to lend us some pieces from their latest collection, shown in the first week of July, during Berlin Fashion Week.

With our collection, we want to reframe this concept of "sin," particularly the sexual elements, and set it in a positive light, emphasizing sexual empowerment as an integral part of the human experience -studio MAJÈRE

'In the painting, sex is metaphorically represented through “riding.” In the central panel, "The Garden of Earthly Delights," humans ride various animals in a large circle. We translated this metaphor into our designs by incorporating snaffle bits, which can also be seen used as a bag handle in the images from the shoot.' -studio MAJÈRE

'The fusion of animal and human elements in Bosch’s work inspired us to primarily use natural materials. Sourcing these materials responsibly is crucial, especially when it comes to leather, fur, and silk. We obtained our leathers and silks mostly from industrial remnants and our antlers, snaffle bits, and goat and sheep fur from eBay (they should really sponsor us at this point!).' -studio MAJÈRE

Vio collected textile scraps (‘trash, pieces of fabric from the floor, something from the table’) from xdaugter7000, a textile duo, to make the nails for the shoot.
